So this is our new playground. It's a twenty five minute drive north of us, and I can't say enough good things about it. Never mind the kids, this is a my favorite playground! Almost everything here is great for big kids too! In fact, the first time we went, I was prepared for a dull day of sideline supervision, but it wasn't meant to be; 5 hours later (and the next day) I had sore achy muscles and that happy exhaustion that comes from a day of good hard play time!

And finally, a Car!!

Okay, this is our new (to us) Toyota station wagon! And, No, it doesn't have a sunroof (sorry, David :-( and it doesn't even have leather (double sorries to David :-( but it does have a sports rack (ie surf rack) and even better than that, it get's 45 mpg in the CITY!!! (My frugal heart is cheering) Yes, you read me correctly, this diesel baby gets awesome city mileage and a full 60 mpg on the freeway, (when you don't go too fast, of course). David suspects that it may not be the totally coolest vehicle in the lot, but at these fuel prices we can still afford to drive to the beach, so I'm thrilled silly!

Our Garden in the City

Our temporary apartment has a lovely (although slightly overgrown) walled garden. It even comes with a BBQ, which we have been making a lot of use of. We've finally found a place we'd like to live, but we've also decided that if we can't get it, we'd be happy just staying right here.
