David's surfing

Now, it's important to discuss David's surfing, or his lack of surfing. He is being brave about the situation, and we've scoped out our options. There are plenty of great spots, but they are all about four hours away, which makes surfing a weekend camping event. First we went to Southhampton, which is about 30 minutes south of us. As you can see from the picture, David found sand and water, but the waves are too wimpy. Then we went out to Cornwall on the SW coast, (great surf) and we even took the Chunnel (your car +a train under the channel) a few weeks ago to France to check out the options there. Again, great surf, but not super close. The good news is that there are lots of camping sites near the surf beaches, so we it looks like David can get his fix:-) Lucky for us, we were able to find the perfect surf mobile in the form of a Volvo station wagon!!
